Our Vision
The Healing Rooms Ministry of Blount County is a member of the International Association of Healing Rooms (IAHR). Our primary vision is to re-establish the healing ministry of Jesus to the body of Christ. We function as a prayer team ministry comprised of volunteers who have been trained to minister to those seeking prayer for healing, and all team members have proven godly character and adequate training in Spirit-led ministry. Our Scriptural Foundation…The ministry of Jesus Christ is summarized in Acts 10:38: "…how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." Jesus' ministry of healing was intended to be an example for His disciples past, present and future. "And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." (Matt 10:1) We are all followers of Jesus Christ, commissioned and empowered by Him to be His representatives on earth. As His representatives, we desire to release healing to the whole person through prayer. We also emphasize prayer that will build a person's faith in total healing and in the promises of scripture.
Since the inception of the Healing Rooms of Blount County, hundreds of people have sought prayer from our teams, and we have had the joy of seeing many of them healed and set free. It is our desire to see this healing ministry of Jesus restored to the body of Christ everywhere.
The Healing Rooms ministry is similar to a walk-in clinic, offering prayer for healing by trained volunteers during regular hours of operation each week. No appointment is necessary to receive prayer for healing in the Healing Rooms, and no fee will be charged. Open for prayer every Friday from 10 am - 2 pm & 7 pm - 9 pm at the International House of Prayer-Knoxville Ministry Base facility.
